Arrow Of Light

Tonight Jaxon received his Arrow Of Light. I can't believe he is almost done with Cub Scouts. I remember being the cubmaster before he was even in scouts. We were having a meeting one night and talking about the boys coming in, Jax was on the list, but wasn't due to be in for 7 more months. Now he is almost 11. CRAZY. He earned his Webelos tonight as well.
Here they are getting ready to do the watermelon cheer. It is Jaxon's favorite.
After receiving his Webelos, he was asked to give his Mom a salute. He went a little brain dead and forgot what that was.
LOOK! Nate was here! Nate hasn't been to a pack meeting for over 2 yrs. We were so glad he was able to be here for this award.
The Arrow of Light ceremony was a great one. I am so grateful to the Holts and the effort they put into the Pack Meetings. I think it was something the boys won't forget. I am also grateful for the wonderful leaders that Jax has been blessed with the last 3 years. They have been organized, on the ball, helpful, caring and loving to the boys in their dens. I know it isn't the calling that everyone wants, so I am grateful they served with their whole hearts.
The 3 boys were given a pouch to keep reminders of the 12 Cub Scout virtues
Aren't they so excited to be there? Myleigh and Jordan don"t care about Pack Meeting, but we informed them, this is one they go to and support their Brother.
At least Mady knows how to get them to smile!
Jaxon,
I just want you to know how proud I am of you and all that you have accomplished in Scouts. To be honest, it seemed very intimidating to me in the beginning, but we got through it together. Thank you for all your hard work and willingness to go to your den meetings and other things that were asked of you. I am so grateful this is something you enjoy and hope your love of scouts continues as you grow. I hope you always remember the importance of setting goals and accomplishing them. Remember the feelings of accomplishment and a job well done, for those are feelings that you want to have repeated throughout your life. You can do anything you want with a little hard work and determination. Always know I am here to help and I love you.
Love,
Mom
