Today I was at the store, getting things ready to go camping. I got a call from Jaxon in hysterics. I couldn't understand anything but the word DEAD. I finally got him to calm down enough to tell me that he went outside to feed the dogs and Lucy was dead. I got home in less than 10 mins and was greeted at the door with sobbing kids. Trent got here soon after me. After lots of crying, we were able to get her buried. Once it was decided where she was going, J manned right up. He got the shovel and went to work with tears running down his face
I did fine with everything till they put her in the ground.
Lucy was brought into our home when J was almost 6 mths old. I quickly learned I was CRAZY for having an infant and puppy at one time. They were both teething and chewing on everything. J wanted on the floor to move around and Lucy loved licking and chewing on his toes. She was so tiny, she could walk under the cabinets in the kitchen without a problem. We had to put a bell on her cause she loved to hide. She was the prettiest little puppy. I miss her blue eyes and freckled white nose.
