Our First Harvest

I know it isn't much, but this is the first pickings of our first garden...EVER. This is all there will be this year. Tomatoes. I might have tomatoes coming out of my ears by the end of the season, but that will be alright. The fact that I actually planted something and didn't kill it is a miracle all by itself. We don't have much garden space, so I planted 15 tomato plants and lost 3 the first 2 weeks. The goal is to be able to can spaghetti sauce with them all. Depending on how it goes, we will see what we plant next year. Who knows, this might be a huge success and I will just keep doing it every year. I had 2 tomatoes at dinner tonight and they were so good! If anyone has any suggestions or a spaghetti sauce recipe they like, please share. Any advice would be welcome!

Tomatoes are about all I can grow too . . .maybe jalapenos, they are pretty hearty. Darin makes fun of me and says all I grow is a salsa garden, so you might as well grow a spaghetti garden. I have a great spahetti sauce recipe . . . I'll email you!
