Back to School

School started today. Hummmm, it feels weird. I will admit, I am missing my kids, for some reason, especially J. on the other hand, the house is so nice. and clean. and quiet. NICE. Jaxon is in the 5th grade and his teacher is Mrs. Morris. MyLeigh is starting 3rd grade and is doing home school. She didn't quite get into the academy, but she is keeping her fingers crossed. Jordan in in the 1st grade and has Ms. Sanders. I am crossing my fingers for him.

MyLeigh woke up while the boys were eating breakfast. She bounced up the stairs fully dressed, including her shoes and a BIG smile spread across her face. She was in a great mood. After Family Prayer, she rode her bike down to the bus stop and hung out with the kids till the bus ca

me. She came right home and started her school work and was excited to be done with everything by lunchtime. (I wish every school day was like that)

Our school tried something different this year. We had back to school night, the night before school started. I liked that the kids got to drop off their school supplies and meet their teacher, see their desk/spot and it was a relaxed enviroment. It really made things easy this morning when I didn't have to take kids to school for the 1st day. I still can't believe that I didn't walk my 1st grader to his classroom this morning.
