FUN RUN

Today was the 2nd annual Syringa Fun Run. The PTA does a great job with this. The kids were so excited to participate this year. I don't think J slept 4 hrs the night before. Nate took a lunch break and came to cheer the kids on. When the horn blew for J's class, he took off right to the front of the pack. Well, I waited and waited for him to come around again, but couldn't find him. I began to think I missed his 2nd lap. Then I saw Jill bringing him to me and he was in tears. His stomach hurt and he said he was going to throw up. I don't know if that was really the whole problem or if he started getting past and gave up. No matter what the problem was, it was a great learning experience and there is always another race. MyLeigh couldn't hardly wait for her chance to run. She was so excited! She said it was hard to run in the cold. She pushed through it and ended up taking 3rd place. She was also the 1st girl to come across the finish line.
These Ladys heard through Facebook that there was a fun run, so they dressed up
and came to cheer the kids on!
MyLeigh, coming to the finishline
Having a moment with her "Coach". The 2 of them have
decided to run the "Turkey Trot" on Thanksgiving Day.

I'm totally crying right now. What a sweet dad to come and cheer his children on and be so proud of them! What a terrific father and husband you have. You both are fantastic parents and love your kids so much. Thanks for your amazing examples.
