Christmas Break

While we have enjoyed being together as a family the last couple of weeks, I am on the fence about getting back into the "old routine". It has been really nice to not have to leave my house every 10 minutes to take a kid here or there. Jaxon and MyLeigh got a 3 week break (they are on their last week as we speak). Jordan went back to school yesterday. The first week the kids were all home we were preparing for Christmas. One day I took MyLeigh and the 2 of us went to Idaho Falls for the day. It was a fun girls day. She helped me with some things and then had to be sworn to secrecy. We sang Christmas songs as we drove and talked and told stories. I wish I would have taken a picture of our girls day. One day was spend doing some heavy duty cleaning. The things I hate, yes HATE to do, but will do them with my kids, so that I can tell myself that I am teaching them to do. We cleaned out the fridge, laundry room, some closets, some drawers and a toy box. The day before Christmas Eve, Nate took the kids to Utah. I stayed home and finished up errands and preparations for the next day. Nate got to work from home last week, which is nice and hard. He also was able to take the boys shooting one morning, and on New Years Eve he went with some friends and took Jordan Ice fishing. They were gone most of the day and by the end, I think that Jaxon was sad that he chose to not go. We even managed to squeeze in a couple of dates. Some friends of ours came up for New Years weekend to see her family so we got together one night. We went to Lava and out to dinner. Then we also celebrated our 13th Wedding Anniversary with dinner and a movie. With the weather being "nice" for December, Jaxon and MyLeigh have been out riding Roller Blades and the Ripstick. But not before I had them clean out the Pantry! They took everything out and wiped down all the shelves. Then we re-organized it.
