I go in and help with J's 1st grade class on Thursdays. Every morning that I am going in, he asks if I will stay and eat lunch with him. I always worry about doing it cause the girls are already left at home for an hour and a half by the time I am done helping. Today I decided to stay with him. He was pretty quite as we sat in the lunch room, him eating his lunch and me eating my apple. I made conversation with the girls he sat with. Then they started telling jokes and J piped up with some that he knows. When lunch was over, he gave me a hug and told me thanks for staying. It was the best lunch date I've had in a long time and something I should try to do more often.

That was one if my goals st the beginning of theschool year, unfortunately I stink at it. you've motivated me to be better!
