MyLeigh's 9th Birthday

MyLeigh wanted to spend her 9th birthday with her family. She wanted us all to go to Randy's gym to play. I dropped everyone off with Nate and ran a errand, went home to put ice cream in the freezer and realized I had left my cell phone at home, when I saw that Nate had called and left messages at the house 3 times. It turns out, Mady didn't last long at the gym before her Asthma started up. Nate kept taking her outside for fresh air till I got there. Armed with her inhaler I got there and kept her so the kids could play a little longer.
I think this year she definitely had a sports theme going on. But hey, when you are loving playing basketball and about to start Softball, what do you expect? I just didn't realize the purple theme that went along with it. The basketball has come in handy when we go play around in the cultural hall in the church. And of course, there can't be gifts without a couple of books right?

So, yes, the brownies looked LAME this year. I totally forgot/blocked decorating them. Thank goodness that doesn't take away from how yummy they are with ice cream and hot fudge. After family had left, we had MyLeigh's birthday dinner. She wanted Lasagna from Costco. I haven't ever bought that before, but Danielle used it for dinner one night when we were in Disneyland and MyLeigh remembered it. So, Lasagna, salad and garlic made up our Saturday Birthday dinner. The most fanciest Saturday dinner we have probably EVER had!
